Passport Renewal · Lost, damaged, older passport or minor

Do not use the standard checklist as a complete document list. Follow DFA’s case-specific requirements; a lost valid passport also has a clearing period.

Steps

  1. Open DFA’s case-specific requirements

Select lost/damaged passport, older passport or minor on the official requirements service.

  2. Prepare the case-specific documents

Do not use the standard adult renewal list as a complete list.

  3. Book the correct DFA appointment and pay

Check applicable charges, clearing period and processing time.

  4. Attend with the required applicant / companion

Follow the personal-appearance and supporting-document rules for your case.

  5. Collect the passport on DFA’s release instructions

Check the issued details and keep the receipt.
