Driver's License Renewal · Plain / advance renewal

Use plain renewal for expiry up to two years, subject to violations/point conditions. Fees: ₱585 current, ₱660 expired up to one year, ₱735 over one–two years, plus medical costs. CDE exemptions are listed below.

Steps

  1. Check expiry, violations and renewal case

Plain renewal is for expiry no more than two years. Settle violations and use the correct demerit/overseas/examination route.

  2. Get accredited medical evidence and applicable training

Obtain electronically transmitted medical evidence and a photocopy. Check the 2026 CDE exemptions; complete reorientation/examinations if your points require them.

  3. Prepare documents and go to a matching licensing office

Bring the licence original/copy, medical evidence and required certificates. For advance renewal add the plane ticket. Submit complete requirements.

  4. Pay the assessed renewal amount and complete biometrics

Plain renewal base is ₱585. Add the applicable expiry penalty and separate clinic costs; keep the official receipt.

  5. Check and collect your renewed licence

Review your details and issuance instructions. The charter states 2h 11m from complete requirements, but clinic visits and later card-release delays are separate.
