Check returning-worker eligibility / exemption in the official DMW system. Departure clearance does not replace a valid work visa or permit.
- Cost / amount:
- OEC issuance for returning workers is free under the DMW policy
- Contract verification and country-specific / OWWA charges are separate where applicable
- Processing time:
- Eligible online exemption follows account / employment validation
- Resolve a missing record or mismatch before the flight date
- How to start:
- Recover the existing DMW account and check the returning-worker transaction
Where to apply
Use the DMW portal. The destination’s Migrant Workers Office (MWO) handles contract verification; follow the assigned DMW / MWO office when personal processing is required.
Find an officeWhat to bring
- Passport and valid work visa / permit
- Employment contract and current employment evidence
Keep the verified contract and evidence of the same employer / jobsite. An old OEC alone does not establish unchanged employment.
- DMW account, departure details and applicable OWWA record
How to apply
- 1Check the DMW employment record
Recover the account; check employer, jobsite and passport details.
- 2Check returning-worker exemption eligibility
Answer the assessment accurately. If online exemption is unavailable, follow the appointment / document instructions.
- 3Save the departure document and check validity
Use the issued certificate / exemption accepted for your transaction. OFW Pass or eTravel must not be assumed to replace every DMW requirement.
